NHS Funded Eye Care
Some people may be entitled to NHS examinations which are paid for by the government. Below lists the requirements that qualify you to such.
Funding does not apply to everyone, so if you have any further questions at all about fundings and voucher entitlement and whether you qualify, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
You are entitled to a free NHS examination if you are:

Aged under 16

Aged 16, 17 or 18 and in full-time education

Aged 60 or over
-
Registered as partially sighted or blind

Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma

Aged 40 or over and are the parent/brother/sister/child of a person who has or had glaucoma

Advised by an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) that you are at risk of glaucoma

Have been prescribed complex lenses under the NHS optical voucher scheme

You receive benefits or your partner receives benefits that entitle you to NHS eye care

You or your partner are receiving Pension Credit Guarantee Credit

Entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
